Privacy policy
Who we are
Bella Betting (operated by Damien Mueller, Australia) publishes free racing and sport tips at bellabetting.com.au and on the tips line 0495 040 400. Contact: hello@bellabetting.com.au.
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), even where a small-business exemption might apply.
What we collect
- Members: first name, email address, Australian mobile number, your confirmations (18+, email consent, tips-line recognition, optional SMS, terms) with the date, time, wording version, and the IP address and browser used when you joined.
- Tips line callers: the calling number is used at the time of the call to check whether you are a member. Our call statistics store only a scrambled (hashed) code, never the raw number of non-members. For members we keep a call count and last-call date. If you use the automated phone assistant, it keeps a short log of membership actions (for example "joined" or "cancelled") with a masked number. Phone conversations are not voice-recorded; a text transcript may be kept by our voice provider for up to 30 days to check quality and safety.
- Email engagement: once member emails start, our email provider may record opens and clicks so we can see which content is useful.
- Website: the public site uses no analytics, advertising cookies or trackers.
Why we use it
- To run your free membership and send the emails (and SMS, if you opted in) you asked for.
- To recognise you on the tips line. Caller ID can be faked, so we use it only for a friendly greeting, never to give out or change anything sensitive. Changes and cancellations by phone require a one-time code texted to your mobile.
- To count sign-ups, calls and email engagement for our membership review on 10 December 2026.
- To tell you, before 10 December 2026, about any optional paid membership. We will never charge you unless you choose a paid plan yourself.
We do not sell, rent or share your details, and we never give them to bookmakers, affiliates or advertisers. We do not use your details to target people who have self-excluded (BetStop) and we will remove you if you tell us you have self-excluded.
Service providers and overseas storage
We use: Twilio (member records, tips line, and SMS one-time codes via Twilio Verify; servers in the United States), ElevenLabs (automated phone voice; United States/EU), and, once member emails start, an email service provider (likely United States; we will update this policy when it is chosen). These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms. Because they may store data outside Australia, by joining you acknowledge that your information may be held overseas; we remain responsible for it under the Privacy Act.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from emails with the link in every email; reply STOP to any SMS; or cancel your membership on the tips line or by email.
- Ask to see or correct your information, or to have it deleted, by emailing hello@bellabetting.com.au. We will respond within 30 days.
- Complaints: contact us first. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
How long we keep it
Member records are kept while you are a member and for up to 24 months after you cancel (as evidence of consent under the Spam Act), then deleted. Call statistics are deleted after about 200 days, and the phone-assistant action log after 12 months.
Under 18s
Bella Betting is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 and will delete it if we find out.
